Continuing Legal Education Materials

Attorneys are required to attend continuing education programs in order to maintain their licenses to practice law. The publications from these programs provide up to date information about developments in the law and include forms and helpful tips for practitioners.

Minnesota Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Publishers

Continuing legal education programs are offered by numerous bar associations and law schools in Minnesota.  The largest provider of these programs is Minnesota Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), a division of the Minnesota State Bar Association. Subscribers to MCLE publications can access them online. University of MInnesota faculty and students may obtain access by contacting the Law Library Reference Office.

Finding Continuing Legal Education Materials

  1. Use the Advanced Search function in MNCAT. Truncate search terms using a question mark if necessary; e.g., limited liability compan?. This retrieves several Minnesota CLE publications (both MILE and MCLE) dealing with LLCs.
  2. Include the General Keywords: legal education or continuing legal.
  3. Add search terms pertaining to your topic.
