About This Guide
This research guide is a quick list of some of the best self-help legal materials available in the Law Library and on the internet. Many of the print publications are from Nolo Press. A keyword search in MNCAT (Classic version) for "Nolo" is a good way to find new titles as they arrive. You can also do a keyword search on your topic and the phrase "popular works." Finally, continuing legal education materials may also be very helpful and can be found by doing a keyword search on your topic and the phrase "legal education."
Minnesota Continuing Legal Education has recently published The Complete Lawyer's Quick Answer Book: Answers to 101 Questions Asked by Your Clients, Family and Friends (Reserve KF209 .M54x 2012 no.56 ). This title includes chapters on Criminal Law and DUI, Family Law, Workplace Law, Workers' Compensation Law, Real Estate Law, and several more.
