This Guide lists books available in the library, as well as online resources, that support wellness, mental health, and life balance in law school and the legal profession. All of the books included in this guide are available in the LOFT area on the second floor of the library.
Leisure reading is also a great way to maintain life balance. Check out the following options:
- In addition to the Wellness & Life Balance collection, the Law Library's LOFT area includes a Leisure Reading collection featuring donated popular fiction. Law students may take Leisure Reading materials from the library without checking them out and return them whenever they like.
- You may check out materials from the Law Library's Barbara Steffens Hedin Alcove on Law, Literature, and the Arts (LART), which is located just inside the wooden doors on the second floor of the library. This collection, which was made possible by a generous donation by Douglas A. and Barbara S. Hedin, includes legal fiction, plays featuring the bench and bar, poetry, legal humor, artwork, movies and television series.
- The University Libraries offers popular reading collections, including millions of titles. The University Libraries provides a way to read and listen to e-books on the Overdrive platform; access titles on your browser or in the Libby app.
