Reserve materials are kept behind the circulation desk and are available upon request. The Reserve Collection includes high demand materials (e.g., study aids, Restatement volumes, West's Hornbook and Nutshells series, recent Minnesota Continuing Legal Education publications, Minnesota and United States codes).
Due to COVID-19 circulation restrictions for Fall Semester 2020, Reserve materials may be checked out for 1 week. There are no renewals allowed on Reserve materials. All library books are quarantined for 72 hours after they have been returned to the library before books are reshelved.
Course materials placed on reserve by faculty members or students organizations can include: syllabi, outlines, course readings, past exam questions and answers, sample briefs and petitions, etc. Such materials are only placed on reserve at the faculty member's request.
For Fall Semester 2020, course reserves are only available in electronic form. Course reserves may be found on Canvas on the "Library Course Page" for each class site: canvas.umn.edu.
For Fall Semester 2020, past exams will only be available electronically. These exams are only released a few weeks before finals. Faculty members must grant permission for exams to be made available for students. If you are unable to locate past exams for your course, please ask the professor teaching the class if they will be releasing past exams.
To access past exams online, visit the electronic course reserves section of your Canvas class site: canvas.umn.edu.
