Treaty Commentaries are books written by experts that do a deep-dive Article-by-Article analysis of a particular treaty. Most treaty commentaries will include information about the drafting history of the treaty, the text of the treaty, the subsequent treatment/interpretation of the treaty through state practice and/or judicial decisions and/or academic writings.
