Library Building Policies
In order to maintain an environment that promotes effective study and research, we need your cooperation. Please be considerate of those working around you and comply with the following policies. All University of Minnesota campus policies apply throughout Mondale Hall and in the Law Library.
The Law Library's Mask Policy
In accordance with University of Minnesota policy, all University of Minnesota students, staff, and faculty are required to use a face covering (regardless of their vaccination status) to cover both the nose and mouth at all times when in any enclosed or indoor space on University campuses and properties, with limited exceptions listed here.
Loud in-person and/or cell phone conversations are not permitted in the Law Library. Please turn off the ringer on your cell phone prior to entering the Law Library. All audio devices must be used with earphones.

Food and Drink
You may have food and beverages in the library. Please avoid odorous and crunchy foods, and dispose of your containers and wrappers. Please keep beverages in covered containers. If a spill occurs, please notify the library circulation staff immediately.
After Hours Access
Only current students, faculty, and staff of the University of Minnesota Law School are permitted to use the Law Library after it closes. You must have your U Card available and with you while using the library after hours.
